Klipsch KPT-396

Priced each.  Closeout deal on KPT-396, it's the same parts as the famous KI-396-SMA-II but in a slimmer and slightly shorter profile, meant for surround use in the largest of theaters.  You only lose 5 hz of extension and retain that famous thick sound that the 396 is known for with rock music.  Cymbals, bass guitar, and kick drums sound monstrous on these.  You also get a more home-friendly grill.

The KPT-396 cinema surround offers high power handling and sensitivity for extremely high output that’s required for the largest format cinemas and multichannel surround formats. The KPT-396 is a full-range, 2-way surround utilizing the K-48-ST 15” low frequency woofer, and a K-691 3” diaphragm compression driver. The large-format compression driver is mated to a 90º x 60º K-510 horn. The speaker enclosure is constructed using 3/4” 7-ply birch plywood, and a 1” medium density fiberboard front motorboard. This contributes to industry leading reliability and an enclosure free from resonance and cabinet-induced coloration. Mounting options include pre-drilled holes to fit an industry standard wallmounting bracket.
